Small Proof of Work (PoW) blockchains don’t have anywhere close to the same level of protection as the biggest networks such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. These smaller PoW blockchains have to worry about the infamous 51% attack, which can be defended by adopting Komodo’s Blockchain Security as a Service solution.

Komodo also recently added slight changes to traditional Proof of Work rules to allow a network to quickly and naturally recover from a Diff Strand Attack. This new consensus method is called Adaptive Proof of Work (APoW).

Lastly, Komodo offers a quantum-secure digital signature scheme called Dilithium as a module in the Antara Framework. This mitigates the future threat of quantum computing attacks, which would render current cryptographic techniques useless.
