Old news but still isn't it too soon cause recently was in a discussion on discord about the timeline of ETH 2.0 development, there still might be 2 years more to go

Hi Ahmed,
I've had the chance to see presentations from and meet with quite a number of ETH based projects, particularly around DEFCON 5. During Q&A sessions after presentations (cameras off, off the record) and in personal discussions every one of them has said that it will be years before ETH 2.0 will be ready. They also unanimously stated that the change over will be a very turbulent time. The 2 years mentioned in your post is the soonest estimate that I heard mentioned.
I know the 2 years mentioned was an estimate someone discussed with me amid your meeting and chat with ETH members, what I am tryna say that they are creating a hype in the market, this is good branding in my opinion
Creating hype can be useful at times for sure. And projects with those resources can do that very well, and even keep the follow-on going with funds and lock-in systems.
Without the follow-on funding and support I would think that there is a danger of having the opposite of the intended result.
I'm curious to find ways that a project with more limited resources can implement. Some tactics and strategies that our project can use to effectively produce results while not playing on the same ground.
well I am good at marketing, but no ideas about crypto plugs, tbh
I imagine it would be the same in most fields where a smaller entity with limited resources was being compared to larger, well-funded groups.
I like the idea changing the playing field.
I'm curious to hear what strategies marketers usually use in such situations. Always good to get new ideas :)
